Is wearing white to a wedding always a no-no?

I just bought this adorable dress by Yumi Kim. I have so many summer weddings to attend, and Im hoping Ill be able to wear this. But Im worried it might break the dont wear white to a wedding rule. What do you think?
Here are my thoughts:
As a bride, I 100 percent would NOT have cared if a guest wore that dress to my wedding.
The dont wear white rule was established so guests wouldnt upstage the bride, which, in my opinion, its pretty hard to do.
